STARS, Joanna Page

Joanna Page (born 1977 in Mumbles, South Wales) is a Welsh actress best known for her role as Stacey Shipman (née West) in the BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey.

Biography
The daughter of garage mechanic and financial services worker, she graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1998.
Page has appeared in the films From Hell, Mine All Mine, Love Actually and Miss Julie and in several productions at the Royal National Theatre and at other theatres. She starred as Mark Owen's love interest in his video for "Makin' Out".

Page stars in the BBC Three comedy Gavin & Stacey, playing the title role of Stacey. On 23 November 2007 she turned on the Christmas lights in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, the town in which Gavin & Stacey is largely set. She was later interviewed on Lily Allen and Friends.

In 2008 she starred in the UK premiere of Neil LaBute's Fat Pig at the Trafalgar Studios.

Recognition & Awards
Page was nominated for the Best Female Comedy Newcomer Award at the 2007 British Comedy Awards.

Personal Life
She married actor James Thornton in December 2003, and they currently live in Dulwich, South London.
